| | So I watched "There Will Be Blood" last night.... I want a milkshake. In all seriousness though, it's a good movie, well worth watching. Day-Lewis does a great job, and though the film is two-and-a-half hours long, it never feels like it's dragging. The ending must be seen to be believed. Everything leading up to it is just so nutty that words really can't describe it. Just go watch the movie. We were watching a screener's copy(?) at home. (Unlike the copy of "No Country For Old Men", it didn't have fuzzy bars across it, and it actually had credits. And music. Unless No Country really doesn't have a soundtrack...I dunno.) Oh, one last thing...about the soundtrack. Composed by Johnny Greenwood, Radiohead guitarist. Those dischordant strings are really unsettling. Those clashing violin chords made me so profoundly uneasy every time I heard them. I kept calling it "insanity music", because I felt like I was going insane every time I heard it. It really goes along with the action on screen, though. |
